Here's to taking the road less traveled!

Two Roads Brewing Company was founded in 2012 by four friends who dreamed for years of starting a craft brewery. They foster a "road less traveled" philosophy in the beers that they make and how they make them. In that spirit, Phil Markowski, their award-winning Master Brewer and 30-year craft beer veteran, has created an extensive lineup offering unique twists on classic styles as well as today's hottest trends in beer.

Two Roads was named one of the ten best breweries in America by Paste Magazine and has won many awards including gold for Belgian Lambic style ale in 2016 at the Great American Beer Festival.

Two Roads isn't just the logo on their brewery building, it's their philosophy. Life always seems to offer up two ways to go. It just so happens, they prefer the one less taken and having some fun along the way - in their lives, their careers and especially for their beers! Now their "road less traveled" philosophy is being brought to life in the beers that they create and how they create them.

They didn't stop there. In March of 2019, they opened up Area Two Experimental Brewing. Area Two is their sour, barrel-aging and experimental brewery situated on their 10-acre campus in Stratford, CT. The 25,000 sqaure foot state-of-the-art facility focuses on the wild and spontaneous.

According to Markowski, "Area Two will be a brewery of boundless experimentation," meaning that "we will continue to innovate, redefine and stretch the definition of beer." They produce lambic-style sour beers, beers aged in barrels obtained from distilleries, wineries and other sources as well as beers spontaneously fermented brewed in a massive 50-barrel coolship. They also have a growing collection of large wooden tanks known as "foudres" for aging beer as long as two years to deliver the unique characteristics found in highly complex beers.

Lil Juicy

Hazy Juicy IPA

An unfiltered, double dry hopped New England IPA that uses generous amounts of galaxy, citra and azacca hops. The result is a "crushable" IPA with notes of tropical juicy fruits, orange, lemon-lime, and florals. This juicy brew is available in 4 pack 16 oz cans and on draft. ABV: 5.20%

Two Juicy

Hazy Juicy IPA

Two Juicy is an unfiltered, cloudy "New England style Double IPA" that uses generous amounts of Hallertauer Blanc, Citra & Mandarina Bavaria hops. The result is a "juicy", fully-charged DIPA with notes of grapefruit, pine, lychee, orange & tangerine against a soft malt backdrop.

NO limits

Brewmaster Phil Markowski has taken a "bahn" less traveled to create our version of the classic Bavarian wheat brew - perfect for the warming temperatures. Beautifully cloudy with a generous head of foam, a wonderful fruit aroma and a dry finish, our Hefeweizen is a refreshing version of the original; with just a little bit more of everything.

Passion Fruit Gose

Tanker Truck Sour Series

Two Roads is driving a tanker truck down a road less traveled with this Passion Fruit Gose (pronounced GO-sah). This series of unique ales are kettle soured in their very own tanker truck trailer - a former milk tanker like the one on the front label - that's parked right on the grounds of our brewery! Featuring a nose of BIG tropical fruit, the taste is of light wheat and a perfect harmony of tartness and sweet fruit that's mingled with salinity to really bring the flavors to life - this refreshing gose is the perfect accompaniment to any occasion. ABV: 5.20%

Persian lime gose

Tanker Truck Sour Series

Their Persian Lime Gose is another unique ale that is kettle soured in their very own tanker truck trailer! They source the freshest persian lime juice through a local craft juicery and blend it into a classic Gose brewed with an added twist -- flaked rye! The result is a strikingly vibrant fresh lime aroma and flabor that shouts refreshment. Our Persian Lime Gose provides a dominant fresh lime flavor with a backdrop of salt and light sweetness. ABV: 4.8%

AREA TWO experimental brewing

Synopsis Blueberry & ACai

Wild Sour Ale

Synopsis is a series of mixed-fermented brews, using wild and cultured yeast strains, that are aged on wood to deliver subtle funk notes while abundant amounts of fruit create a provocative and refreshingly tart beer. Synopsis Blueberry & Acai features lush, tropical notes of berry. ABV: 6.4%

urban funk

Wild Sour Ale

Urban Funk is fermented using a one-of-a-kind mix of wild yeast found right in our small city by the beer-loving scientists at a nearby university. Our blend is especially rare, having been captured during the 2012 hurricane, Superstorm Sandy. Fermented in concrete and aged in steel, the result is a totally experimental, totally sour and funk beer straight out of Stratford, CT. ABV: 6.0%

Barrel-Aged Gose

We took the Two Roads Passion Fruit Gose and aged it in select Jamaican rum barrels for a truly thunderious brew. RUMBBL is pleasantly tart with tropical fruit notes, balanced by hints of oak, vanilla, and sugarcane from the rum barrels. The calm before the storm! ABV: 8.2%
